On a bus ride across the Inner Mongolia desert I had this conversation with Dr Francis - one of two monochrome photography masters in the world today.

The good doctor looks over and utters as if a matter of fact no more obvious. “First.., we must open our eyes to the world, and see the beauty in front of us... ”

Dr Francis attained Fellowship of Royal Photographic Society in 1976, EFIAP in 1977, and was listed as a Top Ten Monochrome exhibitor in PSA's Who's Who 14 times including First Place in 1973 and 1975.
At age 84 he continues to travel the world with his wife to capture its beauty through the camera lens.
